Jetpack, a popular WordPress plugin, has announced a major overhaul of their Jetpack Stats analytics tool. This new version has been designed to provide users with a more comprehensive and user-friendly experience, making it easier than ever to gain insights into website performance and visitor behavior. This update has been driven by user feedback and suggestions, which have played a critical role in shaping the evolution of Jetpack Stats.
A New and Improved Stats Experience
Reorganized Layout
One of the most significant changes to Jetpack Stats is the restructured layout. Their goal was to make it easier for users to find the data they need quickly, without having to navigate through numerous pages or complex navigation patterns.
Jetpack Stats now consists of two main sections:
- Traffic: This section contains the most relevant and latest metrics, such as traffic stats, most popular content, and geographical visitor locations. Users can also focus on specific time periods by navigating within the chart at the top.
- Insights: This page provides an overview of a user’s WordPress site stats, allowing them to view and learn from long-term trends. Previously available in the “Summary” pages of the old version, this section now houses all of the essential stats and metrics.
Prioritized Metrics and Grouped Data Points
The layout of Jetpack Stats has been redesigned to prioritize the most important metrics and group related data points together. This approach aims to reduce clutter, making it easier to scan each module and understand their context.

Monitor Trends and Cumulative Stats
7 Day Highlights & Year in Review
Jetpack Stats now includes 7 Day Highlights, allowing users to compare visitor interaction on a week-to-week basis. Additionally, the Year in Review feature displays cumulative content stats for the entire year, helping users better understand their site’s performance over time.

All-time Highlights
Within the Insights tab, users can now find more cumulative site information, collected since Jetpack was installed. The most popular time and day cards can be used to determine when to post content, and the latest and most popular post sections visually display running metrics for each post.

Stats. Anytime. Any Place.
Jetpack Stats is now available across multiple platforms, including a user’s site dashboard, WordPress.com for managing multiple clients’ sites, and optimized for mobile phones, tablets, and desktops. This means users can check their latest post data and traffic stats from any device, anytime, anywhere, making informed decisions on the go.

Modern Interface
Jetpack Stats now sports a visually appealing, modern design that is easier to read. This new look and feel is expected to create a better user experience and help users better understand their website’s performance.

Privacy and GDPR Compliance
Jetpack remains committed to data privacy and transparency. Jetpack Stats provides a powerful WordPress analytics tool that respects visitors’ privacy, allowing users to gain valuable insights while maintaining GDPR compliance.
With these changes, Jetpack believes that users will better understand their website’s performance and make data-driven decisions to grow their businesses. Users are encouraged to try the new Jetpack Stats and provide feedback.

I think the new Jetpack stats look great, but I am not a fan of the “7 Day Highlights” in the box on my dashboard. I prefer to see just the current days stats there. Anyone know if there is an option to switch what is shown?
